Imagine if you will, an Ode to Benjamin Moore Cloud White Paint (I have the title, but just haven't had time to write the poem...use your imagination). Sung to the tune of "If I Were a Carpenter." Followed by "Stand by Your Man" (particularly when he's on a ladder, or screwing gyproc to the kitchen ceiling).

Enjoy the BEFORE and AFTER photos. Above, the kitchen, before.

The living room, last summer.

The kitchen, June 2010. Really coming along, eh?

The living room, August, 2010.

Master bedroom, last summer, with unpaid, helpful help.

After!

The little bedroom, sad, before. I don't even know what colour to call that panelling.

After!

Guest bedroom, last summer. No guests.

After the Benjamin Moore treatment.

Guests have been and stayed and been comfy.

Okay, back to the kitchen. Knotty pine.

Tear down a wall and move it away.

All the while, have the appliances in the living room.

Midway through the construction.

Done. Unbelievably, done. Randy just noted that he hasn't been out to the workshop all day....
We're going to have a beer now and go for a walk. Apparently it's quite nice hearabouts.

It looks like a good reno. It looks like a lot of work which is a good reason to stay on the boat!

You're both hired! Your place looks a lot like our place...only bigger. We have knotty pine and dream of white cloud, too. So, when you arrive next summer with your work belts and sanders you'll be happy to know the job won't take all summer.

Congrats on a job well done.

Cheers,
Janet and Bill
